Valenciana Fallas

In March various towns in Valencia community build 'fallas'.
These photos are from the 2016 fallas in Valencia town.   They are built on many street corners and can be as high as 30 metres.
During the week of the fallas they have 'mascletas' - daytime fireworks - and parade in traditional costumes.
Then on the night of March 19th, San Jose, is the 'cremas' when all the fallas are burnt.
